    Highlights of 2005:
    (in no particular order)

    *Diana's wedding
Diana is my bestfriend and has been a sister to me since second grade, it was a joy to see her marry the man of her dreams.

*finally seeing Bon Jovi with Shavonne (after 20 years!)
unbelievable! to have the lights go down and come up with him 5 feet from me thrilled even this semi-jaded New Yorker!

*taking my puppy on a plane
first, her cute new pink VW Bug carrier was a hit....second, she slept the whole way there and back...gotta love a mellow pup!

*being 2 feet from Tori Amos
one night I have a dream I was in the front row gazing up at Tori...the next day I buy the tix and a nearly a year later it is a reality, I really am too psychic for words...hearing her say "God bless you" to my mom when she sneezed was a moment I will always remember...why couldn't I have been the one to sneeze that night? It's not like I don't already sneeze like a banshee!

    *Sweeney Todd with Seth
Halloween night and all the Broadway community was there...a truly electric evening with a truly electric friend

    *Biltmore Estate
a step back into a time period I adore, that had class, glamour, standards and customs...if only for a moment

*All my new toys (pink ipod mini, laptop, and camera phone)
how did one ever survive without an ipod?!? like hello!?!

*Rent the movie (yes, I loved it, so sue me!)
after waiting so long, lived up to and exceeded my expectations...it will always be special for me in any incarnation

    *Rori and Seth's Cabaret
I have 2 of the most fabulous and talented bestfriends on the planet...enough said

    *surviving the transit strike
Through stress and chest pains, night terrors and shared cabs I survived as did all of New York.
    2 words, WE ROCK!

*the Amas move to the village
    "We fear change" Garth Algar
Change, change, change; I don't deal with or adapt to it very well but I will say that I love our new loc...walking out my door onto Washington Square park is a thrill and I ADORE trying all the ethnic restaurants in the area

*the previews of Tarzan and Lestat (private Phil Collins and Elton John concerts, respectively)
    I LOVE MY LIFE!

*having a loving family and amazing friends
    I REALLY LOVE MY LIFE!!!

    The Flesh Failures: HAIR
    We starve-look
    At one another
    Short of breath
Walking proudly in our winter coats
    Wearing smells from laboratories
    Facing a dying nation
    Of moving paper fantasy
Listening for the new told lies
With supreme visions of lonely tunes

    Somewhere
Inside something there is a rush of
    Greatness
Who knows what stands in front of
    Our lives
I fashion my future on films in space
    Silence
    Tells me secretly
    Everything
    Everything

    Manchester England England
    Manchester England England
    Eyes look your last
    Across the Atlantic Sea
    Arms take your last
    embrace
    And I'm a genius genius
    And lips oh you the
    doors of breath
    I believe in God
    Seal with a righteous kiss
And I believe that God believes in Claude
    Seal with a righteous kiss
    That's me, that's me, that's me

    Say Goodbye to Summer!!!
I felt so completely centered today. I was at the Lion King and felt a wave of contentment wash over me and I just had to go around hugging everyone. What a blessing to feel whole. Even if it lasts just for a moment, I am so accustomed to feeling worn down or scattered, at best. Normally I would "blame" this all on the weather but I am gonna take some credit for this. I have done a lot of work lately to get myself to a good place and to grow spiritually and I need to realize the fruit of my labors. This will not only benefit me in the future but buoys me in the now. I feel like adding affirmations to my daily routine. Creative visualization has always been naturally more my style but I need to utilize and listen to my voice. It's been here....Silent All These Years...on the social front, guess who is going to see Shakespeare in the Park after all?!? My beautiful, wonderful F. who can look me in the eyes and know exactly what I'm thinking takes one look at me the other day and announces we are going to see Two Gentlemen of Verona Sunday! I don't know whether I am more excited to see the show or the fact that he read my mind once again. If F. doesn't make it as an actor he needs to be a psychic, or at least my psychic. I am thrilled to manage to see the show due to the fact I know so many people in the cast. Norm is the biggest doll I know and I haven't seen Renee since she left LK and I hear she is doing really well on One Life to Live. Nothing but love to everyone...MWA!

    How true is this?!?
    How You Life Your Life

You seem to be straight forward, but you keep a lot inside.

You are always tactful and diplomatic. You let people down gently.

Your friends tend to be a as quirky as you are - which is saying a lot!

You tend to dream big, but you worry that your dreams aren't attainable.

I am so sleepy right now and feel very mellow but I have to do my homework and go through Backstage and strike while the iron is hot. I would love to just curl up in bed and slip away into a trance with no worries but the sound of the fan and the thought of a day off. I need a day at the ocean like no one's business. Anyone want to make a run for it with me...

I admit it. Like any mom, I am obsessed with my babies. Not only are they adorable beyond belief but they have the most beautiful personalities. God knew what he was doing when he brought my kittie and pup into my life. I was always the type that enjoyed being busy and constantly on the move but I love the way that I appreciate down time so much more now that I have my babies. Nothing gives me more joy than to curl up with a fluffy blanket and wrap myself up with the Mimicat and Cindypup. I truly believe I probably would have died of a heart attack a long time ago if I didn't have my pets to keep my blood pressure in check. They are completely therapeutic to my mind, body, and soul. My sis is having hard times right now and I totally think she should get a pet of some sort to help her heal. I was never someone who saw themselves having pets in their life, I always traveled way too much and don't like messy hair or stinky pet food everywhere. Now that I am a mom to two wonderful beings, I am willing to do whatever it takes to keep them healthy and happy. They make any sacrifice worth it. It means not traveling as much and not being able to take out of town or touring gigs but that is a small price to pay. I love the fact that my cat is so serene and all-knowing and "other-worldly" and my puppy is so glamorous, hysterically funny and naive, and has quite the acting career (yes, she has an agent!). The fact that they get along so well and seem to love and need each other is fabulous for me. Mommy gets time to clean, write, and sleep while they entertain each other, loves it! I have the world's most portable dog. What other dog do you know literally leaps into her carrier/bag when she sees their human holding it. Cinderella is so attached to her carrier it can be a struggle getting her to come out. It is like when parents can't send their kids to their room to be grounded because the kid's room is so hooked up, Cindy adores her carrier. I have to be careful when I move it, if i pick it up and we are not really going out it really hurts and confuses her to see it and not be going with mommy. Mimi, the "Feline of Avenue B", is a Siamese of the highest order. I once read that cats were once worshiped and they have never forgotten. Mimi knows who she is and her quiet confidence gives me strength to face the day. She is never judgmental or sad. She is prozac with paws. She loves flowing in and out my space whenever the mood strikes her. She can tell when I am thinking about her across the room. She always lets me greet the pup first when I come home like any good big sis. She is appropriately jealous at the appropriate times and is never slow to voice her dissatisfaction or joy. Like any good meezer, she has a voice all her own (just like her mom!) I treasure my loves and know they treasure me back. This is what life is all about.

What is your bedroom like? My apt is my life and is the temple of Danielle. I have all my beauty stuff crowding the bathroom which is totally decorated with a rubber ducky theme...my bedroom is quite functional with a huge antique coffee table in the center where I keep my lap top and headshots and scripts of the moment...I have a dressing area with my dressers and industrial clothing racks for my industrial sized wardrobe...this area is usually not the most organized as I am an accessory queen and have way too many shoes, purses, and jewels to keep in order...my kitchen is pretty sad since I hardly ever am around to cook but all my Pillsbury Dough Boy kitchen things came with me and do their best to make my kitchen cheery.
What is the farthest place to where you've traveled from home? I think it would be Morroco when we went to Africa or Bangkok in Thailand when we were in Asia...although Alaska FELT the furthest.

    Wow!
Wow, how funny how things can change overnight. I feel like a new woman. I am rested, have money in the bank, and am enjoying some kick ass coffee at the moment. "Who could ask for anything more?!?" (except maybe time to do laundry) I think the weather has a lot to do with it. Even though my allergies are beating me down, I feel up and have a major case of Spring Fever! I live across from Central Park and need to make the time to enjoy it! I have tried to wear sandals everyday to feel more like Spring and get out of the cold weather world. Don't get me wrong, I adore Winter and snow and the Holiday season. It is my favorite time of year. But there is something about the first few gorgeous days of Spring that make me feel all giddy inside, like anything and everything is possible. It gets so bad that I almost hate being stuck in the theatre all day and the sunshine I normally abhor. I get the same feeling in Autumn when we get the first cool crisp days of the season. Anything is better than the cruel, sweltering, stinky days of July and August when even the air-conditioned theatres offer no respite. The city is literally hell in summer and when I am rich I am going to migrate to the French Riviera to wait the summer out.

    Taxes...and all that jazz!
So I feel like jumping off a bridge. Just when I thought I was in a good place financially...wham!...tax time. Not only am I NOT getting a refund...but...oh no..I owe...BIG TIME!!! It is enough to make someone move to Canada, expect I don't know how good theatre is in Canada and I am sure my puppy and my cat would not care to live there. I will never get ahead at this rate...I will be in debt forever what with my college loans and saving to buy my own place. Bills and taxes are just awful...
I am so sleepy today. I just feel like going home and taking a nap. At least I get home earlier tonight than usual...that is a Godsend. Tomorrow is such a loooooong day....Arrrrggghhhh. I took off for Easter but it didn't help. I am as exhausted as ever...
I saw Bombay Dreams last night. It was a very fun show and I thought Kirk was awesome. I am very proud of him. The costumes were extremely well done and just stunning to look at. The big dance numbers were beautiful. The story was crap but I didn't expect much in that department anyways. I loved how it brought a little bit of Bollywood to New York City.
I need a real vacation. I went from traveling the world a few times every year to going nowhere (not even FL!) As much as I adore NYC I miss flying and staying in hotels and eating different foods.
I am sorry that I am so whiny today. I really needed to vent. Despite all the wonderful things happening in my life right now, I am just not happy with the world. I think it is possible for me to be happy, I would really just ask for time to do my laundry and that would make me a contented girl.
